#2 ... there haven't been "Cadet(s)" at the U.S. Naval Academy since the 1890s ... they are Midshipman ... also, obviously he was a Marine assigned to the Fleet Marine Force and as a Lt. Col. must have been a staff officer to Com 7th Fleet ... and I have no idea what this is all about !
